Press Set Up/Operator
Are you an experienced press operator? Do you have experience setting dies on a press machine? We have the perfect job for you! Our client is a leading automotive supplier, looking to hire experienced Press Set Up and Operator Associates at their McCalla facility.
These are temp-to-hire positions that have the opportunity to be hired on full-time (with benefits!) after 90 days. This job won’t last long. Apply today!
Shift: Mon. – Fri., 3PM – 11PM (some overtime and Saturdays are required as needed)
Pay: 16.90/hr $0.30 Shift Diff. for 2nd shift
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform required operations to set-up dies and press
- Routinely clean and organize dies
- Mount, align and secure dies, making adjustments as needed
- Removes dies from machines when production runs are finished
- Participate, recommend, and initiate continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all safety standards are followed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have experience in safely setting progressive metal stamping dies, loading steel coils and operating stamping presses (Must pass a press set up test)
- Must be able to properly use measuring instruments; micrometer, digital caliper, radius gauges, pin gauges, feeler gauges, fixture go/no go gauges, etc.
- Must have metal stamping experience
- Strong Math Aptitude
- Very Safety Oriented
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours a day
