DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
A library clerk is responsible for the accurate completion of library clerical tasks and for providing public services to patrons. Work involves responsibility for routine circulation, shelf maintenance, and clerical functions using an automated circulation system. Duties include checking books in and out, shelving library materials, inputting data, and answering phones. Library clerks work under the supervision of the branch librarian/manager.
