Library Services Coordinator oversees library service offerings designed to meet the needs of a specific user population. Ensures resource availability and implements new programs to meet service gaps. Being a Library Services Coordinator assists groups and individuals in locating, delivery, and obtaining materials. Establish and maintains cooperative agreements between the college and area libraries. Additionally, Library Services Coordinator graduates from an ALA-accredited school. Requires a master's degree. Professional position responsible for designing and implementing intervention and support strategies for adults and children with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs who have challenging behaviors and/or specialized learning needs. Individual will also provide ongoing training and support to team members and to parents who require assistance and support with parenting skills. The DS Coordinator will do individual and group therapy. The Clinical Coordinator is an integral member of the DS team, working with individuals team providing therapeutic support and intervention to consumer and team members in accordance with DDSD and agency guidelines.
Skills: Individual needs strong understanding of the principles and philosophy of positive behavior supports for people with challenging behaviors and must be skilled in eclectic approaches for teaching and supporting children and adults with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Individual must have excellent skills in functional assessment and support plan development. Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills and be masterful at team facilitation and conflict resolution.
Education/Experience
Required: Master Degree
Preferred: Master Degree in Psychology, MSW in social work, Mental Health Counseling or related field and at least two years’ experience doing individual and or group therapy with developmental disabilities.
