    Essential Job Functions: Library Student Assistants performs a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the Library within the Learning Commons including: Staff the circulation desk and perform basic circulation functions (checking materials in and out, issuing library cards, etc.)Provide a welcoming reception and quality customer service to all patronsAnswer basic informational and directional questions in-person and over the phoneSort, shelve, and retrieve materials in Dewey Decimal and alphabetical orderInput data into the library automated circulation systemAssist library staff with various projects and assignmentsPerform opening and closing dutiesOther duties as assigned
