The Position

Social Services Managers plan, organize, direct and manage the activities, staff and functions necessary to provide social services in an assigned region or district office and its satellites.

Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for Social Services Manager I in Reno/Sparks, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). This position manages the OCL Supportive Services - Case Management program in Reno, Carson City and Elko and oversees the work of the supervisors, professional and administrative staff assigned to support program recipients living in the community. This position is responsible for program compliance with State laws, program development including policies and procedures, staff support and training, data management and quality assurance. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, friendly co-workers, and provides a positive working environment.
