Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home assists Physical Therapist in evaluating and providing treatment for nursing home patients to ease their pain and help increase their mobility. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment. Requires an associate degree or graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home typically reports to a physical therapist. Requires a state physical therapist assistant license. Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Mercer Home Health Care, a leading provider of skilled home healthcare service throughout Mercer County, is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist will interact with the entire home care team and is responsible for patient oversight and direct patient care.
The ideal candidate must have a current NJ PT License; a minimum of 1 years home healthcare or equivalent experience, excellent clinical, communication and organizational skills. We will train the right candidate without home health care experience. Applicant will be covering Mercer County only.This position is per diem, therapist is paid as set amount per visit and the category of the visit completed. Biweekly bonus to be paid when patient visits exceed required point value. 25 PTO days to start, one additional each calendar year with a cap of 38.Job Requirements
- Must have a current NJ PT License
- Excellent clinical skills
- Knowledge of current clinical practices
- Must have exceptional communication and organizational skills
Visits done primarily weekdays, open to weekend visits if applicable
