Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Registered Nurse assures successful delivery of quality patient care for patients of El Centro family Health within limitations and guidelines of the New Mexico State Nurse Practice Act.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides skilled nursing services for patients of El Centro Family Health, within the limitations and guidelines of the New Mexico State4 Nurse Practice Act.
EDUCATION: RN and LPN-Completion of an accredited course of study in registered nursing or licensed practical nursing.
LICENSURE: Current New Mexico RN and LPN Licensure.
EXPERIENCE: RN and LPN- Minimum of one-year experience working health care field preferably in a clinical setting.
CERTIFICATION: RN and LPN-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: TST Screening, Hep B Vaccine or Waiver, Background Check, Current Driver's License and Proof of Automobile insurance.
