Licensing Clerk assists in maintaining records, compiling information, and submitting forms necessary for agent licensing. Performs routine clerical duties, such as filing forms and other records from licensed agents and applicants according to an established system. Being a Licensing Clerk updates database, inputs data as required. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Licensing Clerk typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Licensing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary: The Licensing Supervisor will manage the business licensing function for the organization from initial application through annual renewal for, but not limited to, general operational licenses, alcohol, tobacco, fuel, WIC, alarm systems, food service and others. This includes managing and maintenance of the licensing system, partnering with store locations to ensure licensing specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
Working Relationships: Works closely with cross functional departments including IT, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Retail Field Management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and frequently with all levels of the organization.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum Experience: 2 years’ experience managing a team of direct reports. Experience with automated accounting and information processing systems. Experience with Business Licensing software. Corporate or consulting business licensing experience.
Preferred Experience: 5 years’ experience managing a team of direct reports. Experience with automated accounting and information processing systems. Experience with Business Licensing software. Corporate or consulting business licensing experience.

Soft Skills: Must have strong oral and written communication skills. The job requires analytical and problem solving skills.
Other Requirements:
Hours & Conditions: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm with flexibility with start/end times. Position is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office with flexibility on days of the week.

Travel: As needed (less than 10%) may require occasional travel for business meetings and/or conferences.
Physical: This is a sedentary role requiring sitting for more than 50% of the shift
