Licensing Manager oversees the licensing of employees responsible for the sale and marketing of insurance, loan, or investment products. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations; maintains all necessary records. Being a Licensing Manager manages license acquisition and renewal processes. Establishes databases or recordkeeping policies and strategies to track the status of agents, applications, and forms. Additionally, Licensing Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Licensing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Licensing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Summary

     

    This position will be responsible for gathering, tracking, and entering Advanced APPS all licensing, training, regulatory and other information as necessary to ensure that all Advanced AgProtection employees; as well as the contractors, agencies, agents, and agency employees that work with AAP meet State, NCIS, and FCIC standards.

     

    Essential Duties

     

    • Responsible for tracking and maintaining CE training hours for agents, adjusters, and employees.
    • Verify licenses and monitor information for agencies, agents, employees, and adjusters.  
    • Research and understand licensure requirements for each state.  
    • Document company-wide training in line with State, NCIS, and RMA policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for accurate and timely contract entry into advanced APPS
    • Communicate with marketing team to ensure accuracy and completion of all agency contracts.
    • Responsible for reporting and communication with NCIS concerning adjuster CAPP information and compliance.

     

    Additional Duties

     

    • Assist education department with updates and revisions for training materials.
    • Communicate with compliance department regarding regulatory disclosures.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Partner with other departments as needed.

     

     

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

     

    • Knowledge of the trainings and certifications needed in the crop insurance industry.
    • Strong time management skills
    • Organized and highly motivated while maintaining multiple other tasks. 
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external partners.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to perform under pressure.
    • Computer skills required and knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft office suite are desired.

     

    Experience & Education Requirements

     

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a similar field;

    OR 5 years of insurance experience with emphasis in licensing/compliance

    • Experience in the crop industry, with knowledge of NCIS and RMA standards is desired.
    • Experience with AgWorks/My Crop Technologies platform is a plus.
