    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:       
    This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG), Regulation and Oversight Division (REG). The incumbent is responsible for interpreting the statutes, regulations and rules associated with the licensing of sports wagering operators, management service providers, suppliers, and individuals.  Duties include, but are not limited to: ensuring compliance and enforcement of District laws, regulations, rules, and internal guidelines applicable to sports wagering applicants and licensees; providing guidance and instructions to applicants on the processes for initial licensing, renewal licensing, and licensee reporting requirements; monitoring licensee activities such as license expirations, change of a licensee’s operations, and required OLG audit and compliance reporting; advising and providing periodic reports to REG management on the status of applications; and performing onsite inspections of sports wagering facilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.Two (2) years of progressive experience performing duties and responsibilities such as: maintaining and updating records in a licensing or similar system; analyzing data and processes to provide recommendations for improvement; tracking and reviewing applications/documents for completeness; communicating necessary requirements; and resolving related problems.  Incumbent must have the ability to develop and implement licensing standard operating procedures and guidelines. Incumbent must also possess a valid driver's license for the ability to conduct onsite inspections and facilitate the delivery of gaming licenses to sports wagering facilities.

    Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.

    Employment with the OCFO is at will.  However, the discipline and/or discharge of bargaining unit employees is governed by the collective bargaining agreement.

    RESIDENCY PREFERENCE:

    SALARY REDUCTION OF REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS: 
     
    An individual selected for employment in the District Government on or after January 1, 1980, who is receiving an annuity under any District government civilian retirement system, shall have his or her pay reduced by the amount of annuity allocable to the period of employment as a reemployed annuitant.
