Light Assembler jobs in Greenville, MS
Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.
Performs basic assembly, fabrication, production, and operator tasks of a routine nature using the assigned tools and equipment. May perform simple measurement/test operations.
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic shop skills and equipment operation knowledge. Follows strict specifications. Basic mechanical ability. Able to read, write, accurately read a tape measure, and perform basic mathematical calculations. Able to move up to 50 pounds.
