Light Assembler jobs in Nashua, NH
Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Pushes buttons, interrupts electrical eyes and / or depresses pedal to activate machine.
- Verifies safety equipment on machine and / or equipment is functional before starting the job.
- Works from operation sheets, prints, written work instructions and / or verbal instructions as necessary.
- Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
- Assembles and / or sorts work pieces.
- Reports job operations / activities in SAP
- Is responsible for the quality of product produced from operations they perform.
- Cleans work station as required at end of job assignment
- Performs other related work as required.
