Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This position is working on an assembly line or at a sub-assembly station. Duties may include the use of, a tape measure, miscellaneous hand tools, a hand drill, a screw gun, a staple gun, a crane, and a stud welder. This position requires constant standing and may require the ability to drivea forklift.This person will work independently but towards the goals of the team.
Shifts are Monday - Thursday 5am - 330pm.Pay DOE: $18.95 - $23.69 Hourly
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Perform job tasks according to schedules, using established safe methods and processes.
- This position will include the use of a hand drill, screw gun, staple gun
- Duties may include the use of: Tape measure and miscellaneous hand tools.
- Work independently towards the goals of the team.
- Good mechanical aptitude a must.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instruction.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and must be 18 years old. Good mechanical aptitude a must. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Good attendance and ability to work safely are necessary.
