Job Title: Dock Leveler Fabricator

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our dock leveler business. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for welding steel subassemblies, developing and documenting manufacturing processes, and actively contributing to the launch team's efforts in welding, painting, and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld steel subassemblies to AWS B2.1/B2.1M standards
• Develop, validate, and document dock leveler manufacturing processes with a focus on welding
• Collaborate as an active member of the launch team to implement welding, painting, and assembly processes
• Ensure accountability for all aspects of work, maintaining high standards of quality and precision
• Utilize tools and equipment to manipulate steel, including cutting, hammering, bending, and grinding
• Review blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy throughout the fabrication process
• Operate fabrication machinery such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, and shears
• Create templates for repetitive tasks to maintain consistent quality standards

Skills:

• Versatility in performing various manufacturing tasks
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and work specifications
• Physical capability to lift at least 25 pounds
• AWS B2.1/B21M Qualified welder
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in working independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Department and Supervisor: The Fabricator will be part of the Manufacturing team, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.

Type of Employment: This is a full-time position, based on-site Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
