Follows all portion and presentation specifications and proper preparation methods. Being a Line Cook sets up and stocks workstation with all necessary supplies. Coordinates with other line cooks to ensure meals are delivered consistently and on time. Additionally, Line Cook is responsible for operating and maintaining a single workstation. May prepare sauces or garnishes. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a sous chef or executive chef. The Line Cook works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Line Cook responsibilities include producing made-to-order menu items during service hours for both in-house guests and to-go orders, completing extensive prep lists including packaging of grab & go deli items for all 3 locations, monitoring inventory, washing dishes & cleaning as you go as well as deep cleaning at closing, receiving & checking in orders, baking pastry items for all 3 locations and assisting front of house team with customer service when necessary. To be successful in this role, you should be organized, focused on quality, calm under pressure, an excellent communicator and a great team player! Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly plus tips. Monthly health insurance offered with 50% employer contribution for over 30 hours averaged per week.
