EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We’re looking for an experienced Telecommunications Lineman to join our construction team at Mid-Hudson Cable. 40 hour per week position working in all types of outdoor weather, year round throughout Greene, Columbia and Albany Counties.

What you’ll do:

You will install and repair aerial telecommunications cable (strand, fiber and coax)

You will safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more.

You will safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more.

You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers.

You will flag traffic when required.

You will understand separation and clearance regulations.

You will safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.

You will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a lineman placing aerial and underground telecommunication cable (strand, fiber and coax) in OSP and ISP environments

Prior experience working in a bucket truck and climbing poles, including in easements.

You are at least 18 years old & authorized to work in the United States

Valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
