- 5 years of experience on the iSeries
- At least 18 years of age
- Extensive knowledge of the i5/OS and OS/400 operating systems
- Extensive experience with day-to-day System i administration, i.e. preventative maintenance, problem determination and resolution, high-level system monitoring
- Experience with System i O/S upgrades
- Experience with System i PTF maintenance
- Familiarity with reviewing job logs, history logs, etc.
- Light CL programming skills
- Familiarity with the System i LPAR environment
- Experience using the iSeries Hardware Management Console.
- Experience using Help Systems Robot products.
- Trouble Resolution
- Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to coordinate support with other technical areas
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with management and associates
- Must successfully pass background investigation and drug screen according to company policy
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
