Monitors deadlines and follows up with attorneys and paralegals as necessary to ensure docketing deadlines are met. Additionally, Litigation Docket Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Litigation Docket Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Smith, Paulson, O’Donnell & Erickson is a growing general practice firm in Monticello, MN, that is looking for a Full-Time Paralegal or Legal Assistant. Experience in the areas of civil litigation and defense is a plus. Compensation DOE.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney calendars and workload
- Interact with firm clients, perform intake calls and schedule appointments
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and basic correspondence
- Help prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, mediation and other proceedings
Qualifications:
- Get along with our team (be capable of working and having fun)
- Previous law office experience required, 2-5 years preferred
- Paralegal or Legal Assistant training and/or education
- Competent in computer & internet skills
- Detail-oriented
