Trial Paralegal
Summary:
The ideal candidate should have 2 years’ experience in preparing cases for state & federal trial. Be experienced in organizing documents, preparing indices of claim file materials in preparation for depositions and trials and preparing witness and exhibit lists, for use at trial
Must have strong communication and writing skills and ability to multi-task with tolerance and success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee a case load going to trial by managing files and documents;
Coordinating with support services, clients, opposing law firms, and courts;
Scheduling, calendaring and Managing state & federal trial court docket calendar;
Prepare trial notebooks;
Prepare witness and exhibit lists;
Preparing exhibits for use at trial;
Prepare motions;
Prepare indices of claim file materials for depositions; and
Identify and prepare materials for attorney use at depositions and hearings.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledgeable it the steps & times lines leading to trial in both State & Federal court.
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Strong communication skill (verbal and written) -- effective in obtaining information and documents from OC & Clients
Excellent organizational & follow up skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Motivated and aggressive
Proactive and results oriented
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency

Must be technologically savvy, very comfortable using process management systems and fully and effectively utilizes available technology and automation.
Compensation Benefits:
Salary, commensurate with experience, plus an aggressive Bonus program is also offered. Individual Medical insurance premiums are paid by the firm at 80% for the base plan a 50% Gap Insurance contribution & an FSA plan. A very generous PTO package is also provided. FL.
