Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment of various types used in mining operations, such as Cat 992 loader.
• Load and unload company and commercial trucks; remove overburden and waste material; transport and dump waste materials at approved sites.
• This requires great physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
• Inspecting the equipment before each use and reporting any problems to the supervisor.
• Must be able to operate the equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing filters and fluids, and keeping the equipment clean.
• May also be responsible for assisting with other tasks around the job site, such as manual labor, cleaning, and maintenance.

Qualifications: 

• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
• The ability to work well in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols

Education and Experience: 

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Previous MSHA training is a plus.
