This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working 1 day a week at our office in Hood River, Oregon and 4 days may be remote. This is a salaried exempt position.

The Accounts Receivable Collection Accountant is responsible for all aspects of the chargeback process including reviewing new chargebacks, disputing invalid chargebacks, and maintaining tracking and collections spreadsheets.

What you'll do:

• Review new chargebacks daily and obtain supporting documentation from files, spreadsheets, contracts, customer contacts, portals, and Tofurky team members.
• Approve valid chargebacks and clear them to discount and promotion general ledger accounts monthly
• Compile supporting documents and dispute invalid chargebacks in a timely manner.
• Maintain dispute tracking and collections spreadsheets.
• Enter customer deduction invoices in accounts payable.
• Send out chargeback reports to Sales, Logistics, and Accounting.
• Attend Sales and Accounting meetings.
• Maintain chargeback procedure documents.
• Be the main backup for AP duties.

The education and skills you need:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited place of tertiary learning or 5 years of experience
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Intermediate proficiency using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proven expertise in working with internal and external stakeholders in a diplomatic fashion
• Self-starter and able to work without constant supervision
• Approaches work with tenacity and follow through
