Analyzes loans to identify deficiencies, unsupported charges, and risk levels. Being a Loan Examiner establishes authenticity and correctness of all records including transactions and other forms of documentation. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Loan Examiner typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Loan Examiner works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     THE POSITION reviews plans for residential, multifamily commercial and industrial projects for compliance with national, state, and local codes, statues and ordinances related to structural, fire/life/safety, health, accessibility, and energy requirements. Plans may be in either electronic or paper format.
     
    • $31.15 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience
    • Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), a pension plan with five year vesting, 11.18% employer contribution, and a lifetime payout upon retirement.

    DO YOU QUALIFY?
    • Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in various phases of building plan review and/or a combination of education and experience?
    • Do you currently possess the following certifications; ICC Building Plans Examiner, ICC Residential and Commercial Building Inspector, ICC Commercial Energy Inspector, ICC Commercial Energy Plans Examiner, ICC Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner?
    • Are you a problem solver?
    • Do you possess or have the ability to possess a driver’s license and are you insurable?
     
    IS THIS POSITION A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?
    • Do you enjoy the variety of corresponding with architects, contractors, engineers, and property owners?
    • The variety of in office plans review and in the field inspection give you the balance you are looking for.
    • Do you enjoy staying up to date on code changes, revisions, or interpretations; and current construction methods by researching written materials or attending seminars?
    • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
