Loan Examiner Manager manages a team of loan examiners responsible for credit and loan auditing and examination. Ensures procedures are followed and all loan policy guidelines are appropriately applied. Being a Loan Examiner Manager contributes to or leads more complex exams. Mentors, trains, and assesses the examination team. Additionally, Loan Examiner Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Loan Examiner Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Positions in this dynamic and exciting field are on the front lines of tax administration and education. Discovery examiners conduct on-site and in-office reviews of taxpayer documentation to ensure compliance with existing tax laws and regulations. After review, they compile work papers to help assist the taxpayer in voluntarily reporting any existing liabilities to the State. Job duties include: 1. Conduct on-site and/or in-office reviews to ensure compliance. 2. Prepares work papers or spreadsheets to document work. 3. Contacts taxpayers to request records of information or to explain process and requirements. 4. Respond to taxpayer requests for information and explanations. 5. Document relevant facts, information, results, and recommendations through reports and data bases. 6. Discuss findings with Revenue professionals to resolve issues or make recommendations. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Post high school education or training in bookkeeping, accounting, or mathematics and at least two years of related experience; OR Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting. Preferred Qualifications: At least six semester hours in accounting; work experience in federal or state taxation. Oth: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
