Job Summary:

Commercial Loan Processors are responsible for working closely with loan officers and loan assistants in order to produce commercial loan documents for each loan officer’s request.  The Commercial Loan Processor ensures loan documents produced are accurate and within policy in an allotted time frame.  The position requires the ability to work well with fellow employees. They must have the ability to perform a variety of tasks as needed while maintaining attention to detail. Skill requirements are typing, loan document knowledge, the ability to use Laser Pro, Decision Pro, SilverLake, Word, and Excel, as well as other bank software. They must have the willingness to learn and accept new duties.

• Gather all necessary documents from the loan officer/ loan assistant to produce loan documents
• Review all gathered pending documents for accuracy, completeness, loan authority, lien position, insurance, flood insurance, collateral, appraisal, coding, risk rating, disbursements, etc.
• Review documents for compliance purposes, recognize problems with documentation, and take appropriate action
• Contact appropriate parties by email, telephone or fax to verify or obtain required information
• Ability to process all commercial loan requests within an allotted time frame
• Thorough understanding of loan documents, as well as documentation language and laws
• Pull loan files as needed for further research in order to produce accurate loan documents
• Prepare and send all completed loans to the appropriate parties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:  

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Experience in loan documentation is strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

• Proficient in relevant computer applications
• Ability to multi-task in several computer applications.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills, in addition to good listening skills
• Proficient in date entry /typing skills
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude
• Pays attention to detail and displays good organizational skills
• Ability to process all commercial loan requests within an allotted time frame
• Thorough knowledge of loan documentation
• Time management and prioritization skills necessary to manage workload
• Ability to solve complex problems

Physical Demands:

Sitting for long periods of time, pulling and lifting files and must be able to lift up t0 10 pounds.
