Loan Workout Manager directs and manages a team of professionals in restructuring commercial loans. Works with lending personnel and borrowers to better secure collateral and/or assets of the borrower. Being a Loan Workout Manager is responsible for collecting potential loans that are viable. Develops programs and manages strategies to reach performance goals. Additionally, Loan Workout Manager provides guidance and oversight on high complexity or challenging loans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Loan Workout Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Loan Workout Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description

    Responsible for restructuring large and very complex, Corporate and Commercial problem loans. Independently analyzes loans and determines the most effective strategy to secure the repayment and/or collection of the debt. Negotiates with debtors or their representatives to secure repayment agreements and monitors adherence to the terms of repayment agreements. Provides technical advice and assistance to lenders regarding the early identification and evaluation of deteriorating loan situations in order to minimize losses and maximize recoveries. Present complex credits and recommended action plans to Senior Management in a concise manner.   Maintains current knowledge of all laws, regulations, and rulings concerning insolvency, bankruptcy, etc.

     

    Basic Qualifications
    - Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, Master Degree preferred

    - Ten to fifteen years of experience in commercial lending and loan services activities

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience
    - Corporate and Commercial loan experience; CRE expertise is a plus

    - Prior experience with large, syndicated credits

    - Experience serving as the Agent of syndicated credits

    - Experience across a broad spectrum of industries.

    - Expert knowledge of specialized lending collections including managing litigation
    - Advanced knowledge of commercial lending, loan services and credit policy/procedure
    - Advanced knowledge of loan collections and workout, loan processing/documentation and credit analysis
    - Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills
    - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $145,180.00 - $170,800.00 - $187,880.00
