Position Description:
The Cash Management Lockbox and Payments Processor will be responsible for performing payment processing functions with a high-level of detail and accuracy according to established policies and procedures. They will work with the Payments Team Leader within the Cash Management Department to learn technical functions and workflow timeframes. The Processor will achieve objectives required and meet department standards.
The Lockbox and Payment Processor will handle all retail and wholesale lockbox transactions for the Bank as directed, including: open/log/track incoming remittance mail; sort and verify contents of remittance mail; perform data and item entry; balance remittance deposits; resolve rejected items and re-enter information using the lockbox platform software on an image display workstation; perform accounts receivables processing. They will support the needs of the department workflow and other departments needs as addressed to ensure consistency of payments throughout the bank.
The Cash Management Lockbox and Payments Processor is also responsible for providing cash management support to include assisting the team on special projects and reporting. It is imperative to have minimal distractions and a self-driven focus to complete assigned tasks.
Part-time, Monday through Friday 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Wages start at $16 - 17.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:
It is the responsibility of the Lockbox and Payments Processor to be accountable for their duties and workflow. Stay on track with the departmental timeline standards. Make the Team Leader aware of adjustments that may be needed in the team workflow as well as complete assigned projects as applicable.
Responsible for accuracy and completeness of document information
Maintains privacy of information in accordance with the Banks HIPAA Privacy Policy
Operates computer and related equipment efficiently to obtain and process data; prepares and scans batches into system scanners: keys and balances payment transactions; batches data for delivery to customers; files necessary documents, coupons and check storage; performs research when necessary; conducts daily verification of items scanned
Compiles daily statistics, detailing such items as item volume, dollar amount, reject percentage, etc.; distributes statistical information to personnel as directed
Works with supervisor to identify and improve procedures and efficiencies; maintains knowledge of internal resources to mitigate and report disruption of service to customers; maintains and utilizes appropriate escalation procedures and contingency plans; communicates recurring or serious issues to supervisor
Contributes in the evaluation of issues surrounding implementation of any changes within the Lockbox system, hardware or software; assists in identifying potential issues or problems that may impact efficiency and reliability of job and system performance
Conduct research, analysis and corrections as requested
Possess good and sound judgement; adapt to change and represent the bank in a professional manner in conduct and dress
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School Graduate or GED required; technical or traditional business college is preferred
Data Entry training is required. Knowledge with Microsoft programs is a must. Previous experience in a banking or financial institution is preferred but not required.
Becomes skilled in the basics of the following software programs: Remit Capture; Synergy User Client; OneSpan Sign; Xperience; Silverlake (Core System) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word; PowerPoint; Excel; and Outlook)
