Job Summary
As a Logistics Lead at GAT Logistics Solutions Group, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our supply chain and logistics operations. This role will be reporting to the Sr. VP of Global Distribution. You will be responsible for overseeing the movement of craft parts and engines to ensure timely delivery and support the efficient functioning of our aviation services. Leading a team of Logistics operations experts is also part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:-
Leading a team of logistics experts and specialists to ensure cost efficient and professional on time deliveries.

Lead, manage and administrate shipments with import, export and customs worldwide

Coordinate and manage the transportation, and distribution of aircraft parts, components, and materials to support maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities.

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain and enhance operational efficiency within the aviation industry.

Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, procurement, and operations, sales to ensure special time critical shipments are set up and delivery according the expectations.

Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts, secure favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.

Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.

Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational enhancements.

Manage logistics-related budgets, expenses, and cost-control initiatives to optimize spending and maximize value for the organization.

Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support business growth, expansion, and continuous improvement efforts within the aviation industry.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) preferred.

Proven experience in logistics and managing shipments, preferably in the aviation industry or a related field.

Knowledge of import, export and customs rules and procedures for US and International Shipments is a plus.

Flexibility to modify transportation solutions and communicate globally to ensure successful execution of shipments and logistics transactions.

Adapt to changing business needs and priorities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, transportation modes, and logistics best practices.

Familiarity with aviation parts, components, and materials, as well as industry regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in logistics management software and systems.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize logistics operations.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
