A Snapshot of Your Day

As member of the Operations team, the Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of pulling, packing, and shipping functions for service and warranty orders. The Logistics Specialist will need to have timely communication with field service engineers, contract administrators, manufacturing and purchasing personnel to meet on time delivery of parts to customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Processes orders for shipment and crafts bills of lading in SAP.
• Schedules pick-up and delivery with Fed Ex, UPS and other small package carrier partners.
• Interacts directly with various Siemens approved LTL and truckload carriers to schedule pick-ups, transmit documents and communicate specific transport requirements.
• Communicates verbally and in writing directly with internal and external customers.
• Coordinates service parts shipments with internal and external customers.
• Meets regularly with service parts team to insure on time delivery to final customers.
• Actively participates as a vital team member for the shipping and materials departments.
• Creates reports as required, in and out of SAP.
• Provide Proofs of Delivery to internal and external customers as requested.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Xcel, Word, etc.).
• Works under direction of the Shipping Manager.
• Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the manager’s discretion.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree, (BS/BA) or associate degree with equivalent work-related experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 2-5 years’ experience in logistics or manufacturing or environment required.
