The Logistics Assistant III coordinates inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities in order to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs. Provides clerical support for inbound and outbound logistical operations. Being a Logistics Assistant III typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Supports a variety of logistical functions, including sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching. In addition, Logistics Assistant III typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Logistics Assistant III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working as a Logistics Assistant III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
