About Us: Meyer is a growing, family-owned and operated company where you are more than an employee number, you’re family! The Safety Logistics Specialist is responsible for the administrative tasks of maintaining the organization and compliance of the Logistics Safety Department. Monitor and assist in enforcing DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance in the United States and Canada. Assisting in accident investigations for auto, injury, and property claims. Assists with ongoing education programs and training. Other administrative tasks as necessary as directed by the Safety Manager and the Director of Safety.
Safety Logistics Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assist in reporting and investigating all accidents, including incidents
- Review accident file contents for accuracy and documents needed
- Investigate and report property damage accidents, follow up with property owners, and instruct them in the payment process, ensuring payments are sent promptly
- Assist with driver qualification files as needed
- Reviewing of service records for accuracy
- Collaborate with coordinator and manager to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Enter DOT inspections into Paylocity and report spreadsheet
- Conduct urine and saliva drug screens as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
- $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
- Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- 3 days of paid vacation available after 60days days of employment

Safety Logistics Specialist Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent. An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- One to two years' experience with Meyer and/or in the logistics field. Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA & OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Be able to obtain a For Hire Endorsement, for training purposes only.
- Ability to work with regulatory authority.
- Must have exceptional communication skills, including both verbal and written.
