A Logistics Supervisor dispatches River Valleys fleet and supervises CDL Drivers to maximize our efficiency of the trucks. Coordinate deliveries/receiving of products with our River Valley Cooperative fleet, getting the right product to the right place in a timely, efficient, and safe process.
Essential Duties:
- Dispatch fleet for Grain, Fertilizer, NH3, LP gas and Feed ingredients.

Develop and monitor load number log and assignment

Coordinate with the maintenance department annual DOT inspections on assigned fleet to insure they are completed in a timely manner

Cross train with whole fleet dispatch

Set and follow minimum standards for truck appearance inside and out

Coordinate scheduling for service and preventative maintenance work on assigned fleet to ensure the highest safety standards are met and maintained.

Demonstrate willingness to inform and instruct personnel in the proper ways to operate and maintain equipment to ensure best possible ROI.
- Monitor CSA score and truck safety monitoring and coach drivers as needed. Conduct disciplinary actions and remedial training for direct reports

Assist in developing annual training, conduct remedial training as needed.

Hire, train, supervise, and develop employees; oversees proper workflow.

Responsible for employee training, timecards, and performance reviews.

Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.

Prepare all required reports and correspondence.

Responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by strictly observing all applicable safety guidelines and regulations set forth by OSHA, DOT, State and Federal authorities and River Valley Cooperative.

What You'll bring:

High school diploma or equivalent

Transportation and Management experience preferred

Microsoft software, accounting fundamentals

CDL - Class A required

Ability to obtain airbrake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements
Working Conditions:May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals, and vapors, and moving machinery. May be required to work long hours, as well as work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
