Loss Control Supervisor supervises safety programs and performs accident investigations regarding complicated or special accounts; reports hazards found. Prevents injury by identifying and anticipating concerns and hazards with insured accounts of high complexity and exposure. Being a Loss Control Supervisor recommends mitigation solutions. Supports and ensures qualified loss control service to agents and insured clients within an assigned territory. Additionally, Loss Control Supervisor promotes awareness and conducts safe work environment training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Loss Control Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Loss Control Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     • Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving,
      storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the
      staff.
    • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the
      safety of all warehouse employees.
    • Effectively plan and allocate resources in order to meet daily operational requirements,
      maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
    • Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff in order to cultivate their skills
      and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency.
    • Work together with other departments, such as production teams, to effectively manage and
      prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to increase
      efficiency and decrease costs
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance
      with quality standards.
    • Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt
      resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
    • Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory
      discrepancies, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.
    • It may be required to work some weekends if needed.

    Competencies

    • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
      supervise and motivate warehouse staff.
    • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or other relevant software to track and
      manage inventory, shipments, and productivity metrics.
    • Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping procedures,
      as well as inventory control techniques.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational challenges promptly.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and operational
      requirements.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities
      simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and
      demands.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and identify trends to drive continuous
      improvement.
