JOB SUMMARY
As the Loss Prevention/Security Officer, your role involves monitoring Tarbell Management Group's facilities utilizing electronic surveillance equipment. You will be responsible for upholding the company's mission and vision, ensuring excellence in our markets. Maintaining confidentiality is paramount, and you will be accountable for safeguarding the patrons, staff, and company assets through surveillance and any subsequent necessary actions. Given the dynamic nature of the business, we may modify some of the responsibilities of this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for monitoring TMG facilities via electronic surveillance equipment.
- Maintains utmost confidentiality and integrity.
- Protecting the safety of the patrons, staff, and company assets through electronic surveillance
- The Loss Prevention/Security Officer will utilize observational resources to observe activities in all areas and document activities that rise to the level of concern, such as:
- Any deviation or issues of non-compliance from the properties’ policies and procedures.
- Any unusual or suspicious activity in or on the perimeter of the property.
- Any unauthorized access to sensitive areas of the property.
- Any issues that may affect the property’s public image.
- Any liability issues; and
- Any other issue that may be important to the Surveillance Manager, Shift Supervisor, Property Management, or the General Manager.
- Supports all TMG-related company leadership in accident/incident reporting and assisting in preparing appropriate reports.
- Maintains a log of the routine tasks performed within the Surveillance room.
- Observes all internal cash asset transfers and escorts, as applicable.
- Responsible for other duties assigned by the Loss Prevention & Security Manager and Supervisor.
- Providing proper building access credentials to new associates of TMG with their ID Badge.
- Liaison for law enforcement and operational management to communicate and respond to emergencies.
- Ensure the Ohserase Manufacturing facility is always secured and can identify unauthorized access to the building.
- Provide the entire building with a fire watch position in the event of an emergency.
SUCCESS FACTORS
We will know the Loss Prevention/Security Officer is successful when:
- Reports, journals, and logs are prepared accurately, timely, and of a high standard of quality.
- Complete the tasks assigned by the LP/Security Manager or Supervisor timely.
- Report to work on time for each shift according to the TMG Associate Handbook.
- Log all their incident reports accurately and timely in the provided software for reporting.
- Successfully secured and maintained a fire watch for the Ohserase Manufacturing building.
