Job Description:
Machine Feeder
Second Shift 2 PM-10 PM (willing to train on 1st shift.)
Pay rates starting from $16.00 - $17.00 an hour depending on experience.
Essential Functions:
Set up the extruder with the proper die/pin per specification and/or Crew Leader.
Obtain the proper approved batch of material from the lay down area and begin to insert stock into the extruder.
Maintain a constant flow of material into the extruder until instructions are given to stop by the Crew leader.
Break down the head assembly and clean out the die mill from the stock head when applicable.
Put all tools/dies back in their proper location and clean the surrounding area at the end of shift.
Perform other duties as required or requested.
Required Skills:
Simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and carrying out of instructions.
Requires continuous mental and visual attention; usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness and activity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment consists of manufacturing areas that may be exposed to noise, heat, smells, and chemicals.
Work near moving mechanical parts 2/3 or all the time.
Exposure to fumes and airborne particles 2/3 or all the time.
Exposure to loud noise 2/3 or all the time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma
Computer Skills
Basic math and English Skills
Proven experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and quality control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Cleared criminal background check and drug screen.
