The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as well as building and ground maintenance.  The Maintenance Assistant will have a daily routine as well as take direction from the Head of Maintenance. 

 Starting wage: $24-$30 depending on experience 

Shift:  First Shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Correctly read and use varying measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, etc)
• Perform industrial truck maintenance
• Operate industrial trucks and scissor lifts
• Change light bulbs and fixtures
• Read and interpret owner/maintenance manuals
• Air compressor maintenance and repair
• Maintain pallet racking
• Light carpentry
• Light electrical (changing light bulbs and electrical fixtures)
• Light mechanical (change seals in cylinders and mechanical functions with industrial trucks)
• Maintain production equipment (machines, welders, presses, and paint booth)
• Work with purchasing to order correct parts for needed repairs
• Record and file maintenance forms and records for equipment
• Building repair
• Snow removal
• Driving lanes and storage yard maintenance
• Must be organized
• Must be detail orientated
• Work in a team atmosphere
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
