DAY-TO-DAY
This critical production position typically works Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime is available and occasional Saturday work is needed to accommodate shipping schedules.
In this manufacturing position, you are a vital member of our production team. As part of the Esco department, you help determine the flow of quality work through to the next operation. Each day, you are charged with setting up the equipment, adjusting it according to specifications, and either operating it yourself or instructing others in its operation. As an assistant to our lead machine operator, you take a hands-on approach to training and use your excellent communication skills to ensure that all the operators are able to complete their tasks in a safe and precise manner.
As the work proceeds, you measure, examine and test the completed components to detect defects and ensure compliance with the blueprints and specifications. Through close observation of the machinery, you occasionally detect that it needs urgent maintenance. Using your mechanical aptitude, you either perform the maintenance yourself or oversee the work, ensuring that it gets done promptly and accurately.
Efficient and organized, you also keep an eye on the production schedule and make sure that regular maintenance occurs at the most convenient times. Keeping open communication between departments, you make sure that everyone is aware of the scheduled maintenance and plans accordingly.
