Summary

Responsible for CNC machining center programming, operation, and maintenance.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Review production orders and drawings for custom and standard products.
• Program parts using MasterCam software and upload programs to machining centers
• Apply knowledge of the working properties of materials with CNC programming knowledge to design and carry out the operations needed to make machined products that meet precise specifications.
• Organize and maintain electronic programs and files.
• Adjust tools and replace as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Inspect parts for quality and conformance
• Provide accurate inventory counts
• Incorporate experience, skills, and knowledge in the machining of customer products
• Provide ideas for continuous improvement to supervisor regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost 
• May be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business.
• Adjust and prioritize workload to fulfill time sensitive orders

Minimum Education/Certification

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-year Vo. Tech. degree/certification or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience

• Computer skills include MS Office applications, MasterCam, and ERP application.
• Experience with SAP preferred. 
• Able to work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis.
