Mail Clerk jobs in Longview, TX

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Mail Courier in Jacksonville, TX.

No banking experience is required!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sorts incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail. Picks up and delivers work and supplies.

Picks up mail at the post office.

Sorts/opens/distributes mail to appropriate offices in a timely manner. Delivers interoffice mail to appropriate offices.

Collects outgoing mail from offices and prepares it for delivery to the post office in a timely manner. Delivers mail to post office.

Operates machinery such as postage machines.

Stamps outgoing mail by hand or with a postage machine, while considering the most cost effective, efficient means to mail envelopes and packages within the Bank's guidelines.

Sends overnight shipments.

Re-addresses undeliverable mail bearing incomplete or incorrect address or returns undeliverable mail to appropriate person for further action.

Examines outgoing mail for appearance and seals envelopes by hand or machine. Weighs mail to determine correct postage.

Keeps record of registered mail.

Returns to the appropriate person the receipt showing the certificate of mailing.

Mailroom Clerk/Courier

Drives Bank vehicle for performing business-related errands. When Bank vehicle is not available, drives own vehicle and maintains a log of business mileage in order to be reimbursed for the expense.

Makes and/or breakdowns cardboard boxes.

Assists in moving and storing of boxes containing supplies or Bank records. Separates and wraps coins for customers.

Performs light maintenance such as replacing lamp bulbs, clock batteries, etc. Reports to work regularly and promptly.

Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Maintains established department and Bank policies, procedures and objectives, and quality assurance.
