SUMMARY

Responsible for aiding the pressroom and finishing departments to increase productivity through job prep and post shift shutdown.  This person is expected to grasp basic printing and finishing tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review the schedule and stage printing supplies for the pressroom and finishing department as needed.
• Perform end of shift wash-ups for the pressroom.  Clean anilox rollers as needed.
• Assist press and finishing operators when needed.  Including packing off a machine.
• Empty trash at end of shift and perform other janitorial duties as directed.
• Clean press and printing units when needed.
• Perform other department operations (slitting/rewind, packaging) as needed.
• Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.
• Comply with company rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
