Mail Clerk receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Being a Mail Clerk operates postage machine and other mailroom equipment as needed. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Mail Clerk typically reports to a Mailroom Supervisor. The Mail Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Primary Duties:
Clerical Skills. Organizing Shipments, Weighing Pallets, Weighing samples, Basic Arithmetic, Data Entry, English Language Communications through Telephone, Email, and In-Person
Warehouse Duties May Also Include:
Counting inventory and data entry into the computer system.
Reach truck (joystick controls) operation for pulling and stocking inventory.
Sit-down forklift operation for loading and unloading trucks.
Driving our 26 ft box truck to local USPS destinations, printing companies, and mailing companies.
Use a forklift to load pallets of US mail bound for the US Postal Service. Work as part of the warehouse operations team. Regular sweeping and organization duties should be anticipated.
Must be physically able to walk, lift, stand, read, speak, and write in English.
Must be able to pull a manual pallet jack, drive a box truck with automatic transmission, and drive a forklift.
Training may be provided to qualified candidates that have at least 3 years of work experience in a related field.
