Mail Clerk receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Being a Mail Clerk operates postage machine and other mailroom equipment as needed. The Mail Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Job requires minimal agility and dexterity. Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings. Regular exposure to unfavorable environments such as: weather. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as masks, coats, gowns, boots, googles, gloves, and, or shields.
