Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • DPI Staffing is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our dynamic food production client’s team.

    Position: Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

    Pay: $23 DOE

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm

    Location: Boise, ID

    Job Description:
    As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency by creating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of products, and coordinating resources effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:
    Review Work Order Requests:
    • Collaborate with management to review work order requests and prioritize tasks accordingly.
    Generate Daily and Weekly PM's:
    • Develop and maintain daily and weekly Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
    Data Entry:
    • Perform daily data entry of Work Performed, Work Orders, and PM activities.
    Part Kit Creation:
    • Create and issue part kits for projects and work orders to ensure seamless execution.
    CMMS System Management:
    • Oversee and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and document maintenance activities.
    Stock Identification:
    • Assist Maintenance Technicians in identifying and managing stock levels within the CMMS.
    Financial Reports:
    • Generate monthly CMMS financial reports to track maintenance-related expenditures.
    Inventory Management:
    • Conduct monthly inventory counts and quarterly physical inventory assessments.
    Reoccurring PM Scheduling:
    • Schedule and coordinate reoccurring Preventive Maintenance activities (3/6/12 month cycles).
    Reporting:
    • Generate weekly and monthly reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
    PPE and Supplies Management:
    • Maintain stock levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and supplies for production.
    Seasonal Facility Maintenance:
    • Assist in scheduling and maintaining seasonal facility maintenance activities.
    Additional Duties:
    • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management team.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a Planner/Scheduler in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of production planning principles.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
