Maintenance Planner, Sr. jobs in Rockford, IL
Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on major equipment and general building and grounds maintenance within the System. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System Incentives. Performs major repairs per department competencies.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
At least five years experience in all facets of building maintenance in a maintenance environment preferred. In lieu of work experience formal technical training in building maintenance, machine maintenance, AC/DC electrical systems, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, or successful completion of building maintenance Apprenticeship will be considered.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must have valid Illinois driver’s license.
