The opportunity

We are looking for a Maintenance Leader/ Superintendent to lead maintenance improvement initiatives across various locations. The primary focus of this position is the management, leadership, and coordination of maintenance activities to allow assets to achieve the budgeted availability and cost requirements. This is a site-based role, flights, accommodation and meals will be included.

What the role entails:

• Provide leadership to the Maintenance team at a senior level on all safety and maintenance requirements.
• Manage operating, capital, and manning budgets and control departmental budgets.
• Maintenance activities will be centred on planning and preventative/corrective maintenance in addition to managing all emergent work effectively.
• The improvement of maintenance systems and planning to reduce operational costs and eliminate unplanned downtime due to equipment failure.
• Identify, engage, and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstration of an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development

What you will need:

• Mechanical or Electrical qualification with extensive mining industry experience
• Extensive and proven leadership experience at a Supervisor/ Superintendent level
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a fixed plant or mobile maintenance team.
• Proven ability to successfully develop working relationships across all levels.
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and legislative provisions.
• Experience in CMMS; Pronto, SAP or similar
• Valid Canadian or USA working rights.
