As a Design – Build GC, often our design work is completed in house, which provides an exciting opportunity to work directly with our client, architect, and engineering teams to design projects that meets our customers’ budget and needs throughout all phases of Design and Construction.

About the Job - COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER

Major Builders, Inc., is searching for an Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This position is an integral part of our team, and you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, qualified candidates should be experienced in the following:

Essential Responsibilities

• Produce cost estimates within the schematic, design development and construction design phases, by analyzing drawings and specifications or other documents and by working with the Architect, Engineers and/or subcontractors to produce comprehensive cost estimates
• Prepare, review, and receive supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing
• Ability to prepare and present project proposals
• Coordinate with the client on all changes in scope, questions, or clarifications throughout all phases of design and/or construction
• Coordinate frequently with the Field Superintendent
• Contract administration to clients and subcontractors, including but not limited to Contracts, RFIs, project change and cost management
• Coordination of producing purchase orders and ensuring materials are delivered to job site on time
• Prepare and understand shop drawings and submittals, while addressing necessary changes for approval
• Ability to produce construction schedules and coordinate with all trades involved
• Review and maintain (at a minimum) monthly billing, invoicing and expenses

Working Conditions

· Travel as required to job sites or client meetings

· This position is required mostly to endure prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,470.00 - $56,707.00 per year
