Managed Care Supervisor jobs in Missouri
Managed Care Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in the managed care operations department of a healthcare facility. Oversees staff that process referrals, authorizations, billing, utilization review, and capitation for hospital services. Being a Managed Care Supervisor experienced in utilization review techniques and protocols. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Managed Care Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require Registered Nurse (RN). Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Managed Care Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be a Managed Care Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a part-time Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) to join our team at Moberly Correctional Center located in Moberly, Missouri.
The Level 1 Medication Aide (Medical) (Missouri) works under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing (DON) or their nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed, and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse reactions or side effects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current / active Level 1 Medical Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH), which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (, required
- Insulin certification required
- Required completion of continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years);
required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File
- One (1) year of experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred
- Must show / obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
