    Job Summary

    The Senior Business Analyst role reports to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence – Account and requires a strong concentration in both business process improvement and business intelligence. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer’s business strategy, processes, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. The role will be key in identifying opportunities for process optimization, designing, and implementing solutions, and leveraging BI tools to provide actionable insights. The Senior Business Analyst role requires a combination of analytical expertise, project management skills, a deep understanding of BI technologies, and the ability to visualize data. This position will also be governed by the governance established by PPM’s Enterprise Technology Associate Director and Director, Marketing for alignment of account team platforms with Enterprise governance and standards.


    Key Responsibilities

    · The Sr Business Analysts core strengths must include:

    o Analytical skills – this job involves analyzing data and processes, as well as interpreting and visualizing information from customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.

    o Communication skills - working closely with clients, colleagues, and customers to gather information, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as good listening skills.

    o Data Visualization – proficient in using data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, as well as spreadsheet software and flow-chart tools.

    o Problem-solving abilities – think creatively to solve their clients’ problems, requiring strong troubleshooting skills to find new ways to help clients and stakeholders achieve their goals.

    o Writing skills – excellent writing skills and are well able to produce presentations and visual reports on their findings.

    o Business requirements capture and documentation – highly effective at assessing, documenting, and visualizing business requirements.

    o Curation of Client Business Process standards – develop and sustain process standards and governance within the client environment.

    · Effectively manage sequential workstreams, have strong analytical and visualization skills, be able to work under pressure and adapt to the changing needs of the client.

    · Assist in project and program definition and chartering.

    · Provide client-facing business analytics reporting to account team for analysis, identifying trends, outliers, and statistically significant performance, to drive business performance.

    · Understand and accurately interpret customer and user requirements, their strategies, and goals.

    · Capture detail business workflows and connect them to create a holistic picture of the business.

    · Identify efficiencies and communicate these opportunities to the team.

    · Assure that the project deliverables meet quality standards.

    · Subject matter expert for Business Intelligence platforms, which may include Office 365 tools, Power BI, Smartsheet, document management repositories, projects management platforms and similar tools.

    · Collaborate with PPM’s Enterprise Technology Associate Director and Director, Marketing for alignment of account team platforms with Enterprise governance and standards.

    · Communicate complex data and business cases in ways that are compelling and easy to understand.

    · Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics that benefit and support objectives.

    · In collaboration with PPM Enterprise Technology, perform operational management of key platforms, including risk management, process improvement, planning and roadmap development, contingency planning, integration with other platforms and change management.

    · Directly support strategic initiatives.

    · Other duties as assigned.


    Job Skills & Qualifications

    · Associates degree in business administration or statistics preferred.

    · 5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.

    · Data analysis and creation of executive presentation experience.

    · Proficient in Office 365.

    · Experience in building and maintaining Business Intelligence tools.

    · Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

    · Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and perform assigned tasks with tight deadlines and competing priorities.

    · Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.

    · Expert attention to detail and organization.

    Physical Requirements

    · Travel for client account requirements and PPM may be required (up to 25%)

    · Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
