AI Engineers is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to help support the hiring needs of our growing company. They will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and hiring candidates with expertise in civil engineering across multiple disciplines, including bridge engineering, civil/structural/facilities/water/wastewater design, land surveying, and construction engineering and inspection. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a pivotal role in expanding and maintaining our team of talented engineers and support staff to achieve our ambitious growth goals.
This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Middletown, CT and will require occasional travel to branch offices and/or industry events for networking purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
Communication with Hiring Managers and Senior Leaders: Work with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and job/experience requirements. Develop job descriptions as needed. Keep hiring managers and leadership informed on the status of open roles, candidates in the pipeline, and efforts towards hard to fill positions.
Talent Sourcing: Identify and attract top civil engineering and/or support staff talent through various channels, including job boards, social media, industry associations, career fairs, universities, referrals, and direct outreach.
Candidate Screening/Coordination: Review resumes and assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit for the organization. Coordinate with hiring managers about candidates.
Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews and/or phone screenings with hiring managers and technical teams, ensuring a smooth interview process for candidates.
Candidate Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback.
Offer Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to prepare competitive job offers and negotiate terms with selected candidates.
Onboarding Support: Assist the HR team in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices to provide insights to the organization.
Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of candidate information, job postings, and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Compliance: Ensure that recruitment processes comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including equal opportunity employment (EOE) and affirmative action guidelines.
Reporting: Generate reports and metrics on recruitment activities to track progress and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Assisting the HR department as needed.
