As the Controller, you will report directly to the President and have responsibility and oversight for all financial management and reporting functions, ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and compliance with regulatory standards. The Corporate Controller will play a vital role in strategic decision-making while providing insights to support the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the financial reporting process, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide the company's financial strategy and operational plans.
- Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans and provide financial insights to support business growth initiatives.
- Direct audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion and adherence to compliance standards.
- Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, debt management, and financial risk mitigation.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing or similar industry.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
