What we manufacture and sell

Axiota's non-antibiotic solutions prepare cattle for times of transition and stress and support producers' goals of optimal health, performance, and animal well-being.

Our current cattle product platforms are injectable trace minerals and native rumen microbes produced through anaerobic fermentation. Axiota is the combination of two proven companies joining forces to serve the cattle industry.

Trace minerals are important for reproduction, immunity, and immune response to vaccines. MULTIMIN® USA is an innovator in sure trace mineral supply by timed injection and offers the proprietary injectable trace mineral solution MULTIMIN® 90, an injectable, aqueous supplemental source of zinc, copper, selenium, and manganese.

Rumen health and development are critical for growth and performance. MS Biotec® is a pioneer in anaerobic fermentation and rumen health. Our signature line of Lactipro® brand products deliver a patented strain of Megasphaera elsdenii, a potent lactic acid utilizer.

Role

Axiota Animal Health is seeking an experienced cost accountant responsible for analyzing and monitoring the company’s costs of production and operations. This position will be the liaison between finance, supply chain operations and the production team to ensure accurate cost data and provide insights for key decisions. The position will be based out of our facility in Wamego, Kansas and report to our Global Controller..

This position will provide an opportunity to work with our international subsidiaries as we launch either new products or into new markets and support the baseline efforts of developing cost accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Monthly inventory management through reconciliation and valuation processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Compile product cost including labor, materials, and overhead for inventory valuation journal entries.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and prepare cost reports for operations and management.
• Developing and maintain cost accounting systems and control processes.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendation to support strategic decisions specifically around cost of goods and profit margins.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to optimize or develop cost structures and pricing strategies.
• Participate in annual inventory observation and provide support for external audit.
• Other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Ability to apply cost accounting principles in harmony with practical manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in product or project cost accounting
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Dynamics Great Plains or Batchmaster software preferred.
• Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization is critical.
• Strong work ethic to both work independently and as part of a team.
